We beg to acknowledge receipt of your letter of

yesterday on the subject of the Trade Marks registered in Hongkong in the joint names of Hessra, mi, Meyerink & Co.,

and ourselves, and we note that you will convey to the

Governor of Hongkong our reply to the proposal that we should purchase that portion only of Messrs. Wm. Meyerink &

Co's business, which is connected with the Trade Marks in

question.

We certainly wish to pursue the matter until a satisfactory conclusion is reached, and we will therefore follow out your suggestion and approach the local Government

direct on the subject.
